At the inexpensive end of the Henckels International range, the Everedge Plus collection features lightweight cutlery with micro-serrated blades that never need sharpening. Differentiating the Plus collection from regular Everedge knives are the handles: Formed of contoured, almost cushy, santoprene instead of polypropylene, the handles are handsomely backed with brushed stainless steel for added leverage and a sleek, contemporary look. Ideal for a student apartment or vacation rental, this 17-piece set contains the following knives: 2-3/4-inch paring; 5-inch tomato; 5-1/2-inch boning; 6-inch utility; 7-inch santoku; 8-inch chef's; 8-inch bread; 8-inch carving; 8 4-1/2-inch steak knives; and a wooden storage block painted graphite gray.

Because of their light weight, the Everedge Plus knives are well-suited to smaller hands and also help reduce tiredness when a large amount of food preparation is required. The molded handles are quite comfortable and resist breakage. While not precision-ground or hand-honed, the stainless-steel blades nevertheless slice and chop with ease, and each features a different serration depending upon its function.
